In a word, NO! No tools are required; rather, cam levers are loosened to allow parts to be adjusted to your particular body type. The seated support has multiple ways to adjust for all body types. The bed support can be adjusted to accommodate most mattresses. The vitrectomy mirror and the prism glasses are made with optic grade mirrors for a remarkably clear view of items ahead of you. Many people, but not all, can place the mirror on the armrest of the seated support and watch TV. Many factors contribute to how easy that will be for you: placement of the TV on the wall, distance of the seated support from the TV, and a persons height are examples. Some trial and error may be involved with the best placement for the mirror. All items come with instructions and we are here to assist with any questions you may have.
